All of my experiences with both my tutor and my course adviser have been very positive.
They’re both very eager to assist where they can and respond to any queries very quickly. I’ve been lucky enough to have the same tutor and course adviser for all three of my courses so far and they’ve been brilliant through all of them.
My assignments have always been marked very quickly, usually within a couple of days at the latest, and I have always received extensive feedback which has helped me with any issues or queries I may have had.
My tutor has always made himself available to discuss any problem areas, and if he has been unavailable for any reason my assignments have been passed to another tutor who has provided the same brilliant level of feedback and assistance.
There are a large variety of e-modules available on each course, as well as a variety of revision videos and assignments. All areas of study are covered well within these modules and explained thoroughly to aid understanding.
Distance learning has been a huge part of my career development, as it has allowed me to work full-time and improve on my existing skills within the workplace whilst learning new topics outside of the workplace that can later be applied to the work environment.
The flexibility of not being tied down to a strict deadline eases the pressure of learning, however the timetable set by your tutor and course adviser ensures that you don’t fall behind with your studies and lose focus.
Since starting this course I have improved my confidence in new areas of accountancy and bookkeeping, as well as expanding on my knowledge learnt from my Level 2 Foundation Certificate in Bookkeeping.
I have also started a new role within a finance-based industry within the last year and progressed well within my position by being trusted with new projects and being fortunate enough to have had my salary increased.
