Our ICB Level 2 Certificate in Bookkeeping course is the ideal place to start your professional bookkeeping journey! About the Qualification

The qualification comprises three units, each with their own online assessment which can be taken in the candidate’s home or place of work. The three units are:

A1 – Basic Double Entry Bookkeeping to Trial Balance

A1 – Basic Double Entry Bookkeeping to Trial Balance

This unit provides students with an understanding of Basic double entry bookkeeping to trial balance

A2 – Further Double Entry Bookkeeping to Trial Balance

A2 – Further Double Entry Bookkeeping to Trial Balance

This unit builds on further knowledge of double entry bookkeeping to trial balance.

A3 – Data Entry to Trial Balance Using Software

A3 – Data Entry to Trial Balance Using Software

This unit builds on the knowledge and skills of data entry to trial balance using software.

You should study each unit in turn, one at a time. Once you’ve successfully completed the coursework for the unit you are on, you should then plan to sit the assessment for it. Then, after that, you’ll move onto the next unit, and so on.

Upon completion of this qualification, you’ll be able to carry out the role of an employed assistant bookkeeper under supervision and apply to become an Associate Member and achieve AICB status as a professional bookkeeper.

Our online learning platform for the ICB Level 2 Certificate in Bookkeeping will guide you through each stage of your learning journey; on what you need to complete next and when you need to complete it.

You’ll be presented with study resources tailored to the topics covered in each unit, including chapters from each study manual, revision videos, quizzes and help sheets. At regular intervals you’ll be presented with an assignment, or practice assessment, to complete and submit to Premier Training for marking.

Course progress is automatically saved in ‘the cloud’, meaning you can resume your learning exactly where you left off in each unit by logging into your My Premier Training Account (MyPTA) account from any device connected to the internet. Additionally, if you don’t have time to complete a piece of coursework in one sitting, you can save your progress, and again, resume it from any location or device.
