Using Accounting Software (UACS) – Single Unit £199

On completion of this unit, students will have the practical ability to enter accounting transactions into accounting software and to perform bank reconciliations accurately. Students will be able to enter information into accounting software and understand the main features of accounting software. Students will learn how to set up general ledger accounts for new and existing businesses and process the typical bookkeeping entries expected of students at this level, including the processing of sales and purchase documentation, recording bank and cash entries and carrying out bank reconciliations accurately.



Using Accounting Software (UACS) – This single Unit will allow you to study & revise for your final assessment efficiently in a structured format. Your personal timetable sets the pace of your course informing you which assignment and assessment needs to be completed by its recommended date. The ‘using accounting software unit’ gives students the up to date skills and knowledge needed in order to process day to day transaction using accounting software. Once you have worked through the study manual you will then complete three assignments and a mock assessment which will prepare you for your live assessments. Additional videos are also available to enhance your knowledge and understanding. Below is what you will learn in this unit.

Assignment 1: This covers the following topics – installing the software, setting up a business in the program & entering new customers and suppliers
Assignment 2:  Here you will learn how to process batch invoices and credits, customer receipts and supplier payments, journals and wages & salaries
Assignment 3: The final section of this unit covers cash transactions, recurring entries – bank reconciliation, entering new customers and suppliers, passwords to protect data and computer health & safety
Practice Assessment: This tests all knowledge and understanding for this unit
