IAB: Diploma in Small BusinessFinancial Management

This course is specifically designed to appeal to those who are already, or are aspiring to become, owner-managers or to those who are responsible for keeping the financial tasks invoved in operating a small business.

There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification.

The overall aim of the course is to develop your knowledge and skills of financial management relating to a small business.

Specifically we will develop your skills in the following areas:

• Keeping of financial records
• VAT
• payroll
• preparation and interpretation of the Profit and Loss account
• preparation and interpretation of the Balance Sheet
• taxation and the Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs
• costing and pricing of products
• management of working capital
• financial plannning and control
