AAT Payroll Qualification
The Study Manuals
The study manuals are devoted exclusively to exam success. Each study manual contains:
- Comprehensive syllabus coverage - everything you need to know, without giving unwanted detail;
- Numerous activities with full solutions to give you the opportunity you need to apply your knowledge and reinforce your learning.
Most important of all though, is the user-friendly style, which will help ensure that every minute of your study time is used as effectively as possible.
Flexible Study Method
Home study allows different people to learn at different speeds and recognises that busy lives mean that there are times and places more convenient to the learner than a time and place dictated by classroom based learning.
Premier Training's flexible course is ideal for the following:
- Busy people who cannot attend College at regular times but would like to train for a career in Payroll
- People working in an accounts department who wish to obtain a recognised and formal qualification
- Young people looking for an introduction into Payroll
- Mature people looking for a change of career
- Unemployed people looking for a fresh start
Home study is quite literally a fast-track study alternative for students who are able to study using the latest technology such as interactive study manuals, practice and revision kits, computer based training packages, internet, videos, audio cassettes and, of course, traditional textbooks!

Assessment
Methods of assessment used include:
- Skills Tests are similar to coursework/assignments. They are marked by the tutors at Premier Training and as an approved assessment centre we will assess you fairly and provide detailed feedback. If you are unemployed or do not yet work in a payroll environment your skills tests can be done by simulation (i.e. case study)
- Exams are written papers set and marked by the AAT. They are held at training centres and colleges throughout the U.K. and take place in June and December every year. Distance learning students can sit at a centre near to home.
- Where a student is already carrying out some of the activities in a work environment, we will help the student gather work-based evidence in order to prove competence. This is often a much easier, more efficient way than simply carrying out lots of extra activities and is particularly useful for the final three 'business administration' units of the syllabus.
Completing your course: our Guarantee to you On completion you will be presented with a certificate from the AAT that you have successfully completed the course. And remember - if you attempt all work set in accordance with the agreed timetable but still don't pass your exams within 12 months of enrolling, then we will continue to tutor you free of charge for a further 12 months!
