Training and Assessment for the AAT Diploma
You must obtain at least one year's relevant work experience. Experience can be gained in any employment sector. The experience can be gained before, during or after studying for the Accounting Technician qualification.
The scheme is highly flexible. You may choose to complete the full scheme, one or more stages, or selected units of competence. Whatever you decide, you will receive an AAT certificate for all your achievements.
You may complete the scheme at your own speed and on average, full time employees in accounting achieve all three stages in about two to three years.
ASSESSMENT AND EXAMINATIONS
The course is assessed entirely by means of a series of Computer Based Assessments. These can be completed at any time during the year and there are AAT approved assessment centres available throughout the UK
How to book exams:
- Complete the practice exam to a good standard
- Make sure you feel confident and prepared to sit the exam
- Contact your course advisor
- They will then help you locate an exam centre with contact details
- Simply contact the exam centre and book your exam time and day
- At this point you will need to pay the exam fee to the centre
- The exam centre will confirm the time and day via post or email
- Turn up on the day take and pass the exam and receive your results immediately
In the unlikely event you fail your exam you will be able to try again on payment of another exam fee with the centre, Premier Training will continue to support you at no further cost.
On completion you will be presented with a certificate from the AAT that you have successfully completed the level of the course. Assignments for the course are completed online via the Internet and full tutor feedback is provided by email or telephone. This is to enable students to develop the skills needed to complete computer based examinations and for this you will require a computer with Internet access.
You will receive instructions in your welcome pack along with log in details to access each individual online assessment
For students not wishing to complete assignments online we are able to supply a traditional 'paper-based' version of the course. Please discuss this with your course advisor when you enrol.
