Training and Assessment for the AAT Diploma
You must obtain at least one year's relevant work experience. Experience can be gained in any employment sector. The experience can be gained before, during or after studying for the Accounting Technician qualification.
The Diploma scheme is highly flexible. You may choose to complete the full scheme, one or more stages, or selected units of competence. Whatever you decide, you will receive an AAT certificate for all your achievements.
You may complete the scheme at your own speed and on average, full time employees in accounting achieve all three stages in about two to three years.
Assessment
Two methods of assessment are used:
- Skills Tests are similar to coursework/ assignments. They are marked by the tutors at Premier Training and as an approved assessment centre we will assess you fairly and provide detailed feedback.
- Exams are written papers set and marked by the AAT. They are held at training centres and colleges throughout the U.K. and take place in June and December every year. Distance learning students can sit at a centre near their home.
Completing your course
On completion you will be presented with a certificate from the AAT that you have successfully completed your assessments. And remember if you don't pass first time, we will continue to tutor you free of charge until you do!
